It is one of the main Spanish varieties, however, it is not dominant in any region. Its origin is in Cordoba, especially in the town of Baena, extending its cultivation to Granada and Malaga. It has a high rooting capacity. It enters into production early and its productivity is high and alternates.
Its flowering period is medium and its pollen has a high germination capacity, which is why it is recommended as a pollinator.
Extra virgin olive oil
It produces very aromatic oils and is characterised by its green fruity flavour with notes of green apple and olive leaf. Organoleptically highly valued oil, low in bitterness and not very stable. High in linoleic acid.
